Choosing a washing machine
Freestanding or integrated?
Freestanding washing machines have their own finished casing and can go anywhere with a water supply, a drain and a socket. They have the widest range. Integrated washing machines fit inside a standard 60cm kitchen unit and hide behind a matching cabinet door.

What size drum do you need?
- 7kg or less: a couple or a smaller household.
- 8kg to 9kg: most households of two to four.
- 10kg to 11kg: bigger families and bulky loads.

Spin speed and running costs
